One of the goals of my Rascally Pup Learns & Grows series is to promote language curiosity in young children, so the books don’t hold back!  In a review for What the Dickens?!?!, an educator wrote: Kersey's rhyming story is easy to read aloud but still includes vocabulary like deplorable, impending, etc. that educators will embrace as tools to foster comprehension. In Golly-Oodle-Lolly! our pup is venturing beyond his basic vocabulary of down, sit, and stay, and he is gobsmacked by oodles of new words to explore. One fine day, indeed – it’s a humdinger! 

While the words are meant to encourage questions and repetition, the companion Cheat Sheet is designed to be fun and easy for kids to use. Grown-ups too! The words are organized by book and in the order they appear in each story, to make them easy to find or to follow along as you’re reading.
